- Inspection of Raw materials – Castings, Forgings & welded components.
- Knowledge on standards related to castings, forgings, plates & welded components.
- Foundry knowledge – Moulding, core setting, melting.
- Familiar with Pattern inspection & requirements.
- Preparation and implementation of Quality assurance plan.
- Supplier audits and supplier developments, supplier evaluation.
- Developing QA inspection formats for incoming raw material inspection.
- Ensuring the components fully meet the QA plan requirements by conducting specific tests and inspections in incoming and in process stages.
- Coordinating with customers/ external agencies for audits and completion of documentation. Resolving issues related to product & testing.
- Verification & approval of vendor test reports / Material test certificates and feedback on rework, quality improvements to reduce rejections and prevent quality issues.
- Raising nonconformity reports and resolution with concerned department.
- Knowledge of problem solving, 5W-1H & 8D methodology.
- Perform in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic, high energy level, motivation, and enthusiasm.
- Good technical knowledge.
- BE in Mechanical with 3 plus years / Diploma Mechanical Engineer with 5 plus years of experience in Inward Quality assurance from Manufacturing industry / In process experience in Foundry.
- Candidate should have good knowledge of non-destructive testing with ASNT level II or equivalent certificate in UT, MPI, DP & radiography inspection.
- Thorough knowledge of material, composition, mechanical properties is an added advantage.
- Hands on experience in handling inspection activities independently. Capable of using all types of instruments and gauges & SAP working environment.
- Good knowledge on implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate reliability, precision and accuracy of processes and product.
- Exposure to castings, heavy forgings, fabrication, welding process and inspection methodology.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English/Hindi & local language is essential.
- Competent with MS-Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Power point, outlook).
- SAP transaction knowledge.
