    Description

    Work as a senior member of a team responsible for developing a large-scale, highly available and fault-tolerant SaaS based CRM solution in the Heavy Equipment Dealer space in accordance with established processes. You will apply your knowledge of building scalable, distributed applications and have the opportunity to work with technologies & frameworks such as .NET, React, AWS, MSSQL Server etc.

    Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following.

    You will be expected to:

    • Contribute to all phases in the software lifecycle – requirements analysis, solution design, development, and deployment
    • Maintain high quality standards for the work undertaken and be responsible for the quality of deliverables
    • Own the design, implementation and documentation of product features
    • Ensure assigned projects are developed in accordance with established engineering processes, adhering to scope, schedule constraints and agile project plans
    • Mentor the less experienced team members and help onboard new team members
    • Participate in and provide guidance during code review
    • Work closely with the management team to implement software engineering practices and uphold standards
    • Suggest appropriate technologies and platforms to use to deliver customer requirements
    • Your primary focus will be the architecture and development of the entire application, across the technology stack, in conjunction with your peers as part of a distributed team
    • Work effectively as part of a distributed team

    Requirements

    Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

    • Solid CS fundamentals with experience across a range of disciplines, with more than one area of deep knowledge and experience
    • Proven track record of leading large scale, high availability and fault-tolerant SaaS or consumer Web or On-Premise Applications
    • Strong programming skills in C# with a clear understanding of Object-Oriented principles
    • Experience building production applications using Javascript based frontend frameworks like Angular or React
    • Experience building REST APIs using .NET MVC, .NET Core preferably based on a Service Oriented Architecture
    • Good understanding of RDBMS Databases (MSSQL or Similar) and proficiency in writing efficient SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, replication & performance tuning.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
    • Experience with distributed systems with specific focus on security and scalability
    • Experience of building, scaling and deploying applications to AWS, Azure, or GCP

    Additional areas that would add value:

    • Exposure with WCF
    • Exposure with Domain-Driven Design/Development
    • Test Driven & Behavior Driven Development
    • Using DevOps & Infrastructure tooling such as TeamCity, GoCD/Jenkins, Git
    • Knowledge about AWS Components (S3, EC2, CloudFront etc)
    • Strong understanding of Design Patterns & their application in system design
    • Experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies

    Education and experience:

    • Bachelors or Master's in Computer Science or related fields.
