    Description

    Job Description :

    We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Database engineer to join our dynamic team.

    As a Database engineer, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and architecting database schemas, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL and other databases.

    You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our database solutions.

    Responsibilities :


    • Develop and maintain database schemas for adhering to best practices and scalability principles.
    • Architect database schemas to support the scalability and performance requirements.
    • Optimize database schemas for efficiency and performance, including indexing strategies, query optimization, and data normalization.
    • Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and system administrators to understand requirements and design appropriate database solutions.
    • Perform database performance tuning and monitoring to identify and address performance bottlenecks proactively.
    • Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
    • Evaluate and recommend new database technologies, tools, and best practices to improve the performance and efficiency of our database solutions.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database administrators and developers within the team.
    Requirements :


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on database design, optimization, and administration.
    • Expertise in developing and optimizing database schemas, particularly in PostgreSQL.
    • Solid understanding of database architecture principles, including data modeling, normalization, and indexing.
    • Proficiency in SQL programming and database query optimization techniques.
    • Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools.
    • Strong knowledge of database security best practices and techniques.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
    • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
    • Certification in database administration or related field (e. g., PostgreSQL Certified Engineer).
    • Experience with other database technologies, such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
    • Familiarity with cloudbased database services, such as Amazon RDS.
    • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for database automation and deployment
