    Description
    The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions. The role ensures cloud architecture aligns with business objectives, supports digital transformation initiatives, and follows best practices in security, governance, and performance optimization. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cloud Architecture & Strategy 
    •  Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP). 
    • Define cloud strategy, roadmap, and governance framework. 
    • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives. 
    • Evaluate and recommend cloud-native solutions and services. 

    Infrastructure Design & Implementation 

    • Architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. 
    • Design networking solutions including VPC, VPN, load balancers, and hybrid cloud connectivity. 
    • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies. 

    Security & Compliance 

    • Implement cloud security best practices and governance policies. 
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR, etc.). 
    • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis. 

     DevOps & Automation 

    • Design CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. 
    • Integrate cloud infrastructure with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). 
    • Promote containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. 

     Performance & Cost Optimization 

    • Monitor and optimize cloud performance and availability. 
    • Implement cost management strategies and cloud cost optimization practices. 
    • Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements. 

    Leadership & Collaboration 

    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud/DevOps teams. 
    • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams. 
    • Participate in architectural review boards and strategic planning meetings. 

    Documentation & Governance 

    • Prepare architecture diagrams, design documents, and SOPs. 
    • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices. 
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud governance processes. 

    Requirements

    Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
    Professional Certification: 
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) 
    • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert 
    • Google Professional Cloud Architect 
    • Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD) 
    • TOGAF Certification – added advantage
    Years of exp: 15–18 years of total IT experience with at least 6–8 years in Cloud Architecture.

    Jobs Specific Skills:
    • Strong expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms 
    • Experience in cloud migration and modernization projects 
    • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure design 
    • Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates 
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and micro services architecture 
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices 
    • Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization 
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
