    Description

    Position: Assistant Manager, Tax

    Location: Andheri (East), Mumbai

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Income-tax:

    • Preparation of Quarterly advance tax computations
    • Preparation of monthly TDS working and quarterly return filing
    • Advising on TDS applicability on domestic as well as non-resident payments and preparation and filing of Form 15CA/15CB
    • Preparation of rectification applications and submissions for Income-tax assessments
    • Following up with the tax authorities for pending rectification applications/ refunds
    • Undertaking research, drafting of grounds of appeal, statement of facts, written submissions, stay applications, etc.
    • Preparing presentations, concept notes, tax status reports, updates etc. for the management
    • Handling tax audit
    • Providing support to the finance team with respect to tax provisions and contingent liability review
    • Undertaking annual TP compliances with the help of an external consultant

    GST:

    • Preparation and filing of monthly GST returns (i.e. GSTR1, GSTR3B)
    • Monthly reconciliation of input tax credit in GSTR2A vis-à-vis purchase register
    • Preparation and filing on annual GST return (i.e. GSTR9/9C) with the help of an external consultant
    • Preparation, filing and follow-up of refund applications in Form RFD-01
    • Handling GST audit jointly with the consultants
    • Preparation and filing of letters/ submissions in response to GST scrutiny notices and show cause notices received pursuant to filing of refund applications

    Foreign Jurisdictions:

    • Review of corporate tax returns to be filed for group companies in US, UK, Canada, etc.
    • Preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns and corporate tax returns
    • Analysing and complying with ESR requirements in various jurisdictions

    Others:

    • Co-ordinate with other teams/ consultants for obtaining relevant data
    • Working closely with business teams and other support teams for resolving their tax queries and review of tax clauses in various arrangements

    You are:

    • A freshly qualified CA (with tax experience in articleship) or CA with 1-2 years of relevant experience (from tax background - Big 4 is preferred)
    • Strong communication skills, able to quickly build relationships and ensuring clarity to non-tax personnel
    • Strong excel and presentation skills
    • Strong analytical and research skills
