    Overview

    Deploys and configures systems specific to their area of expertise. Guarantees the system (server, resources, storage, and/or application) is up, healthy, and working as designed. Ensures that Infrastructure requests get completed in a timely manner. Maintains and administers enterprise level solutions implemented by Infrastructure team in support of business needs and requirements.

    Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

    • Directly responsible for the configuration, testing, and deployment of mission critical systems within their realm of responsibility.
    • Provides Top-Tier escalation support for the servers, storage, and/or applications the Engineer is responsible for maintaining.
    • Deploys/Installs, maintains, and repairs systems across the enterprise as well as provides some degree of technical support for the applications therein.
    • Provide advanced level troubleshooting for Server Infrastructure; responsive to tickets and requests which have been escalated, and that are outside the scope of expertise provided from level 1 and 2 Help Desk support.
    • Responsible for proper follow-up of escalated tickets, providing, in a timely manner, regular updates as it pertains to ticket status.
    • Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules.
    • Selects methods and techniques to be used for obtaining solutions.
    • Interfaces with vendors and various internal groups for trouble calls.
    • Performs all work in compliance within specified warranty requirements.
    • Obeys all regulatory requirements regarding system deployment, access, etc.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related studies preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows Server systems management
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with systems administration and/or design
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with VMWare vCenter administration and management
    • Minimum 1 years of experience with VxRail
    • Minimum 1 years of experience with Nutanix
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure Deployments, Environment & Services (IAAS, PAAS, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Automation, Monitor, OMS) preferred
    • Scripting experience: python/bash/PowerShell preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
    • Detail oriented individual capable of working both independently and within a team.
    • Ability to document processes and policies in an easy to follow format
    • Understanding of VDI design, architecture and maintenance preferred
    • Solid understanding of backup technologies and methodologies.
    • Knowledge of NAS or SAN technologies and how they operate.
    • VMWare/Citrix XenApp/Virtualization experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Netapp. Tintri, Pure Storage is a plus.
    • Cisco UCS experience is a plus.
    • VMWare/ESXi experience (installation, config, upgrade, and management) is a plus
    • Knowledge of Cohesity and Commvault backup solutions is a plus
