    Role

    As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in structuring, creating, and maintaining our client's data infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining data pipeline architecture, data systems, and databases. You will work closely with Data Scientists and other stakeholders to ensure streamlined data integration and enhance our client's data-driven decision-making processes.

    Typical Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain data systems and databases that support data analysis and reporting.
    • Develop and implement data pipelines and ETL processes that effectively capture, integrate, and transform large volumes of data.
    • Optimize and troubleshoot data models, databases, and data pipelines to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and identify data sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
    • Develop data processing and manipulation scripts using programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Spark.
    • Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement machine learning models and algorithms within data workflows.
    • Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
    • Monitor and maintain data systems performance and address any data-related issues in a timely manner.
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in data engineering best practices and technologies and propose and implement improvements as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and/or Spark.
    • Proficient in designing and implementing relational and/or NoSQL databases.
    • Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
    • Sound knowledge of data modeling principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging trends in data engineering.
