    Senior Technical Writer

    Role is responsible to create simple/medium/complex Technical Documents, User Manuals, Help Files, web content and Learning material in compliance with the Oracle Style Guide. The role is also responsible for copy-editing documents in source formats (MS Word, Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe RoboHelp and Oxygen) and in PDF. Experience in using industry-standard style guides and excellent verbal and written communication are an absolute necessity.

    Other tasks include explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner & work with Engineering staff and SMEs to ensure accuracy of product descriptions and aligning with documentation releases and other deliverables.

    A keen eye for detail with very strong grammar and English language proficiency is mandatory. Evidence of demonstrated improvements to documentation in a similar role in a previous organization is a must. Experience in web development and working in Fin-tech companies will be a bonus.

    Primary Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to study and apply industry-standard and company-mandated style guide.
  • Thorough knowledge of rules of grammar and punctuation, and English language proficiency
  • Experience as an author documenting technical manuals.
  • Ability to collate and present data of edits performed on documents and to suggest improvements to writers will be a plus.
  • Knowledge on MS Office, Adobe FrameMaker (Structured and Unstructured), Adobe RoboHelp and Oxygen.
  • Working knowledge on XMLs, HTMLs, Wikis (Confluence) and JIRA
  • Familiarity and hands-on on agile methodologies
  • Good knowledge about Software Technical Writing concepts and tools
  • Pre-Requisites:

  • BA/MA in English Literature/Journalism or Engineering Degree with strong English language skills
  • At least 8+ years of experience in Technical Writing for IT/Banking /Other domains as a writer.
