Job Overview

Mid-Level: 4 to 6 years years of experience, Full-Time position in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Join our team at DCS Group, an Educational and Career Consulting services company based in Jaipur, India. We specialize in providing Career Counselling, admissions, and placement services. As a PLC Programmer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for our clients' manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• 4 to 6 years of experience as a PLC Programmer
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages and software (e.g., ladder logic, structured text)
• Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent learning skills to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Possession of a PLC Technical Certificate
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech)
• Experience with manufacturing automation and control systems is preferred
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus) is a plus

• Design, develop, and maintain the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for our clients' manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and specifications
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Implement software and hardware modifications to improve system efficiency
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of PLC systems
• Participate in system integration, testing, and commissioning activities
• Provide technical support and guidance to the production team
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in PLC technology
• Adhere to safety and compliance regulations in all PLC programming activities

Job Description -

Electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred.

In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes.

Knowledge of software design principals.

Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD software.

Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to travel when required.

-Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs.

-Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how processes will work.

-Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages.

-HMI Programming and control panel designing

-Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.

-Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.

-Troubleshooting system errors.

-Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.

-Documenting development processes.

-Providing clients with technical support.

-Traveling to clients' locations.
