Job Description:
As a

Director of Engineering,

you will be leading a delivery team to build a highly scalable and extensible big data team that provides the foundation for collecting, storing, modelling, and analysing massive data sets from multiple channels.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivery management, project planning, resource planning, delivery quality, maintain margins and customer satisfaction.

This position thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

This is a data analytics & engineering leadership role for a strong leader that loves to operate in trenches with the team.

You should have the ability to partner with team members who have great technical depth & analytical ability to deliver customer success.

Responsibilities:

• Business focus○ Strategic mind set:

You are planning for growth of account and scale up the account with reasonable investments.○ Handle budget planning, spend and tracking for your area of responsibility.○ Set up the organization & processes to enable timely delivery of projects with high quality.

• Customer focus○ Prior consulting industry experience for North America or European geographies○ Set customer expectations and outperform them with delivery.○ Interface daily with customers across leading Fortune 500 companies to understand strategic requirements○ Travel to client locations
• Delivery○ You would be required to own customer deliverables and ensure, along with projectmanagers, that the project schedules are in line with the expectations set to the customers○ Partner with delivery team to collate, analyse and present data and drive clear insightsto lead decisions that improve KPIs.

Mentorship■ Mentor & grow Engineering Managers & Technical Project Managers to lead up theseindividual units.■ Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced team members.

• Technical Focus○ Management knowledge in data system development, software development, deployment.

Ability to dive into details with engineers and distil to a high level for executives, customers and non-echnical audience.○ Oversee Architecture & design of technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions.○ Align with Technical leadership to influence, guide & champion adoption of best practices to build scalable architecture though process.

Experience in defining technical requirements for data extraction, data transformation, automating jobs, productionizing jobs, and exploring new big data technologies within a Parallel Processing environment.

Qualifications:

• 10+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or a related technicaldiscipline is required
• Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent developers & analyst infast paced work environment
• Strong leadership skills & Strong project management skills with experience of delivering highquality projects on time.
• Experience in building, leading & managing large multi-engineer projects and mentoring top-notch engineers in consulting companies

Preferred Qualification:

• Development and support experience in Big Data domain
• Architecting, developing, implementing and maintaining Big Data solutions on cloud(AWS,Azure or GCP)
• Experience with database modelling and development, data mining and warehousing.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kerberos,KAFKA, etc.)
