HSE Specialist (Electrical Safety Champion)

You will be working as HSE Specialist (Electrical Safety Champion) at global grade 14 and will be part of Electrification business area for Services division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to HSE Manager and will be responsible for being the local reference point for the knowledge and understanding of ABB and legal requirements regarding electrical safety.

Your responsibilities

• Participating in Electrical Safety Champion (ESC) network, including regular calls and an annual meeting
• Ensuring that all ELSE employees who participate in electrical activities in field service or workshops receive practical 7 Steps training in their local language every year
• Going to customer sites regularly to conduct site inspections and supporting and mentoring colleagues
• Sharing lessons learned from ABB incidents with the local division team in an effective way
• Carrying out an annual electrical safety self-assessment of the local division and raising corrective actions where necessary
• Supporting the HSE function as advisor or subject matter expert in the investigation of any electrical incidents

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in service, project, testing and commissioning
• Operational experience of electrical field
• A good communicator who is able to give effective electrical safety training
• Strength of character to discuss difficult issues with customers and senior management
• Good communication skill and willing to travel more than 50% of the time within India
