Job Description

Using AutoCAD and other drafting software, the draftsman creates detailed technical drawings for tanks, pipelines, and machines based on engineering specifications, sketches, and other input. These drawings include plans, elevations, sections, and details necessary for construction or fabrication.

For tanks, the draftsman works on designing layouts, including the shape, size, and capacity of the tank. They also incorporate features such as access points, valves, nozzles, and support structures into the drawings.

In the case of pipelines, the draftsman is responsible for designing the route of the pipeline, considering factors such as terrain, obstacles, and regulatory requirements. They create detailed drawings of pipeline layouts, including pipe sizes, fittings, valves, and supports.
