Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

1. NDT for existing products.

2. Establish NDT techniques for new products. 3.Audit co-ordination and vendor Management

Indicative Tasks

1. NDT for existing products

Plan day-to-day testing activity based on the monthly plan.
Allocate and instruct associates for various testings (RT,MT,PT.,)
Conduct relevant NDT method applicable to the castings based on the customer requirement.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection and ensure the safety regulations are adhered.
Analayse the test results and update the test results.
Responsible for weld repair/upgradation.
Interface with production/development team and ensure the castings meet the NDT requirements.
Clearance of test positive products for despatch.
Ensure Safety and 5s standards.

2. Establish NDT techniques for new products

Establist NDT techniques for new products as per customer TDC (Technical Delivery Condition). Conduct NDTs until the castings meet the specifications.
Send castings for external NDT tests as on when required.
Immediate feedback to of NDT results to development and process team and direct on corrective measures.
Handling customer queries on NDT and ensure quick corrective measure for issues.

3. Audit co-ordination and vendor Management

Co-ordianate and handle all third party (TUV, BV, NPCIL, etc.,) inspections. Manitain all ISO related documents related to NDT.
Identify vendors and evaluate all quality aspects and recommend for commercial action.
Audit vendors on a regular basis and recommed for corrections in procedures if any.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification : BE Mechanical with 15 to 20 years experience

Preference: Should have worked in Foundry
