Researches, designs, develops, and optimizes software tools that enable the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). Develops and optimizes compilers, flows, assemblers, models, tools, runtimes, and/or firmwares that are closely coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards, while leveraging strong knowledge of FPGA hardware, logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout. Designs, develops, and optimizes software abstractions and frameworks for acceleration with the FPGA for domains such as deep learning, DSP algorithms, or data analytics. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.NOTE:In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Qualifications

Technical Individual Contributor, hands on technical execution expert5 - 12 years of experienceBachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringExcellent programming skills (C, C++, Perl, Python, Tcl, etc.)Software-firmware-hardware codesign and developmentExperience in hardware micro-architecture details and software embedded conceptsExcellent Programming, Design, Coding Skills in C using complex data structure and algorithmsProven experience in implementing Low level Driver/Firmware, SW/FW interface design and deep insight into the hardware internal architectureExperience in ARM, DSP, Micro-controller low level embedded software programming including HW configuration, state machine design with timing constraintsProficiency in various hardware Debugging Tools, methodologies using Pre-Silicon Emulator and Post Silicon Boards for issues in the hardware-software boundariesSecurity domain concepts (integrity, authentication, encryption) Secure Coding would be a very big plusRTL design, FPGA design, and FPGA design tools understanding would be a plus NOTE:In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel.
