    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Group Head for Professional Lighting Solutions (PLS) will play a pivotal role in shaping the professional lighting solutions division of a leading premium sanitaryware brand. The group head will be formulating & implementing business strategies for B2B Business, resulting in improved sales efficiency and streamlined operations in the business. This role requires leadership style to motivate and empower a team to ensure successful achievement of top-line and bottom-line profitability. Additionally, the group head will deploy competitive strategies for creating sales and developing market share for Professional Lighting in projects segment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategic Planning & Execution:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Professional Lighting Solutions vertical, focusing on competitive positioning and market penetration.
    • Drive the definition of annual sales targets, identifying key markets and sectors for expansion.
    • Formulate business strategies to achieve revenue targets and sustain market leadership.
    • Prepare Annual sales Budget and rolling out quarterly and annual plans, defining "go to Market" for the sales team, developing effective marketing materials and POS(point of sales) calendar to generate sales leads.

    Product Development & Portfolio Management:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies for within the manufacturing industry.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and define product roadmaps.
    • Manage the entire product lifecycle for multiple product lines, from concept ideation to end-of-life decisions.
    • Optimize product portfolios through regular assessment of performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics.
    • Develop the strong relationship with specifiers segment to become the "most preferred brand" for lighting requirement.
    • Ensure development and management of channel for Professional Lighting Solution.
    • Engaging in demand forecasting and ensuring optimum inventory levels.

    Market Expansion

    • To ensure development and management of channel for Professional Lighting Solution.
    • Engaging in demand forecasting and ensuring optimum inventory levels.
    • Performing market assessment for developing potential partners and accordingly defining market entry strategies; preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
    • Devising & implementing Go-to-Market Strategy for new markets, basis feasibility study of neighboring markets, launching new products, enhancing profitability, and developing high performance teams.
    • Penetrating business in the assigned territories and consistently improving profitability; identifying changes in market demand and new streams for revenue growth; revamping sales strategies for expansion of market share.
    • Develop and execute innovative strategies to enter new markets and increase market share across diverse sectors, from large-scale projects to individual retail consumers.
    • Identifying potential customers in the responsible geography, presenting them with basket of products and ultimately creating long term strategic accounts for end-customers and clients.

    Revenue Generation

    • Convert market potential and educational initiatives into actual sales through strategic application of brand's product line.
    • Drive revenue generation by transitioning each customer into dedicated users of the brand's product line, aligning with the overarching goal of revenue enhancement
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth in each emerging vertical.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align product strategies with overall business objectives and priorities.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of product strategies.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, and partners.

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead and inspire a team to drive product development and go-to-market initiatives within the emerging verticals teams.
    • Facilitate cross-functional teamwork to leverage diverse expertise and drive integrated solutions.
    • Empower team with the tools and resources necessary for the success of their teams, fostering an environment of learning, adaptation, and growth.
    • Conduct regular review meetings with team members to track progress, address challenges, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet evolving market demands and organizational goals.
    • Ensure professional development of team and their members, identifying and facilitating opportunities for skill enhancement, leadership training, and career advancement within the organization.
    • Ensuring effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of talented sales professionals.
    • Develop the team's capabilities to ensure they give more than 100% productivity and are fully equipped to meet the market demands.

    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing insights into sales performance, market dynamics, and strategic outcomes to senior management.

    REQUIRED SKILL SET

    Education & Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology or a related field. A Masters in technology or advanced degree is preferred.
    • Minimum 15 Years Plus relevant experience, at least 5 Years senior level experience of management of people, resources & markets.

    Competencies:

    • Experience: Excellent lighting technical background
    • Leadership: Ability to lead sales teams towards on brand strength, reach & service capabilities.
    • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop and execute sales planning and execution in both project sales as well as consumer sales
    • Product Management: Ability to manage the entire product lifecycle and optimize product portfolios based on performance and market dynamics.
    • Market Research: Experience in conducting market research and analysis to understand emerging trends and customer needs.
    • Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze data, understand market dynamics, and use insights to inform strategic decisions.
    • Managing Profitability: Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure profitability and financial success of the vertical.
    • Performance Management: Skilled in setting clear performance standards, monitoring progress, and implementing strategies to achieve high performance across teams.
