Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Heroku Infrastructure Manager to join our

dynamic team. As the Heroku Infrastructure Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing,

monitoring, and debugging our Heroku infrastructure. Your expertise in Python and PHP deployment, along with your proficiency in Heroku Connect, Heroku Postgres, Heroku Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch, will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities:

• Heroku Infrastructure Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day management of our Heroku infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and deploy appropriate solutions on Heroku.

Monitoring and Debugging:

• Implement effective monitoring tools and strategies to identify and address performance

bottlenecks, errors, and other issues.

• Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and debug Heroku-based applications.

Python and PHP Deployment:

• Facilitate seamless deployment of Python and PHP applications on Heroku.
• Optimize deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Heroku Connect and Heroku Postgres:

• Manage Heroku Connect to ensure smooth integration between Salesforce and Heroku.
• Administer Heroku Postgres databases, including performance tuning, backup strategies, and data integrity.

Heroku Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch:

• Configure and manage Heroku Kafka for efficient and reliable data streaming.
• Administer Redis for caching and fast data retrieval.
• Implement and maintain Elasticsearch for efficient search capabilities.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security best practices for Heroku-based applications.
• Stay updated on industry security standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Heroku infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to achieve common goals.
• Provide regular updates and reports on the status of Heroku infrastructure to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing and optimizing Heroku infrastructure.
• Proficiency in deploying Python and PHP applications on Heroku.
• Strong expertise in Heroku Connect, Heroku Postgres, Heroku Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with cloud security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Heroku certification(s).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
