Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our JavaScript browser-based devices team. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, highly motivated, and collaborative, capable of working across teams to empower both themselves and others towards achieving excellence. This role directly impacts millions of global consumers, influencing their experience with our service and our business's success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable media applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and other web development technologies.
• Rapidly prototype and implement new features, working closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineering leadership to create best-in-class streaming experiences.
• Utilize data and experimentation to validate new product functionalities, ensuring optimal user experiences and continual application improvement.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in front-end application development, with expertise in JavaScript (ES5 & ES6), TypeScript, and low memory footprint practices.
• Proficient in developing browser-based applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as , 13, , Redux, and
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in developing sophisticated user interfaces within a large, organized codebase.
• Leadership skills with the ability to identify issues and drive towards solutions, alongside a strong eagerness to learn and teach new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with development tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Webpack, and JIRA.
• Knowledge of building applications backed by web services.
