JobOverview: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineerto design implement maintain and support our growing networkinfrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strongunderstanding of networking protocols hardware and software alongwith excellent problemsolving and communication skills.Responsibilities: Design configureand maintain network hardware and softwarecomponents including routers switchesfirewalls Internet connect cameras NVRs (network video recorder)SAN/NAS (storage) and IOT devices and loadbalancers. Able to configure both hardware andsoftware routers and firewalls Set up networking requiredfor Edge devices and data centres and cloud Create and maintain virtual LANs(VLAN) in onpremises andVPCs across multiple clouds Implement and maintainnetwork security including setting up firewallsmanaging VPNs and implementing access controls Establish connectivitybetween onpremises systems and cloud based virtualmachinesand other cloudservices Able to connecthybrid systems (onpremises multicloud) and ensure smooth trafficbetween trusted endpoints via IP whitelisting VPNtunnelling etc. Work with plant teams (OT and automation systems) toconnect OT network (where RTSP cameras and otherdata sources such as sensors are located) and ITnetwork (where apps are hosted either on the premiseas servers/PCs or in Cloud as VMs or serverlessservices) Monitor network performance and troubleshoot networkissues proactively such as outages latency andpacket loss. Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to design and implementnetwork solutions that meet business requirements. Act as expert advisor to bothinternal and clients IT team to address connectivityand security issues; provide technical support and guidance toendusers and other IT staff. Work with cloud providers hardware and softwarevendors and ISPs (internet service providers) toimplement and support complex networks (multicloudhybrid low power wireless) as required by businesscase Respond to network emergencies andtroubleshoot as needed Document network configurations processes proceduresand known issues and resolutions drive continuousimprovement in addressing known issues quickly Support the networkingrelated scope for standard industry audits and certifications(e.g. ISO GMP GDPR etc.) Open to travel (5060%) to clientlocations during requirements phase implementation and troubleshooting Stay informed with the latestnetworking technologies and best practices Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computerscience Information Technology or related field. Previous experience as aNetwork Engineer or in a similar role;5 or more years of relevant experience Strongunderstanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP DNS DHCPMQTT and SNMP. Good to have knowledge of OT (operations technology)network protocols such as OPC UA OPC DA ModbusProfibus pointtopoint networks etc. and OT network storage devicessuch as NVR/DVR Handson experience withnetwork equipment from vendors such as Cisco Juniper and Palo AltoNetworks. Good to have: Knowledge of IOTplatforms platforms such as Rockwell Honeywell PTC Kepware LitmusCrosser etc. Experience with networkmonitoring and management tools such as Wireshark Nagios andSolarWinds. Solid understanding of networksecurity principles and best practices. Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonalskills. PreferredQualifications: Industrycertifications such as CCNA CCNP or JNCIA. Experience with cloudnetworking platforms such as AWS Azure or GoogleCloud Platform and in connecting onpremises systems(Edge computers data centres and Low Power IOT devises) Knowledge of softwaredefined networking(SDN) technologies. Experience withscripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automationtasks.
