Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as a 'Mechanical integrity Engineer'.
Primary responsibility is to carry out static/transient/dynamic, linear/non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical FEA (Finite element analysis) of Gas Turbine static & rotating components (e.g.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
Carry out static/transient/dynamic, linear/non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical FEA (Finite element analysis) of Gas Turbine static & rotating components (e.g. blades & vanes, rotor, casing etc.) using commercial software such as Abaqus, NX-CAE, Nastran & Ansys.
Perform Low Cycle Fatigue, High Cycle Fatigue, vibration and detailed Fracture Mechanics assessment of Gas Turbine's static & rotating components.
Perform high temperature creep calculation and assessment. Creep-fatigue interaction needs to be checked.Prepare and document FE calculation in the form of structural integrity design report.
Participate and conduct structural integrity design review at component level.
Seamless transfer of structural integrity calculation input and output between design team and project lead respectively.
Qualification & Experience - We don't need superheroes, just super minds:
Mechanical Engineer graduate/Postgraduate from recognized college/university
Experience of more than 03 years in CAE/FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for linear / non-linear, static / transient thermal and structural calculations.
Experience in FEA software e.g. Abaqus, NX-CAE, Nastran & Ansys.Knowledge in the field of structural dynamics and vibration is a plus.
Experience in turbo machinery i.e. Gas turbine, Steam turbine is a plus.
Strong background in engineering mechanics and mechanical design.
Strong soft skills i.e. team player, quick learner, problem-solving mindset, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
