    Description

    Work specific:

  • Expert knowledge of GST Laws and working knowledge of Customs, FTP and other allied laws.
  • Drafting and closure of replies to notices, intimations, letters under GST, VAT and Service Tax Laws.
  • Leading and closure of GST Annual Return / audit assignments, with minimal guidance from Senior Manager / Partner.
  • Leading and closure of GST health checks under GST laws, with minimal guidance from Senior Manager / Partner.
  • Drafting and filing of Appeals under GST, VAT and Service Tax Laws.
  • Finalisation of replies to oral / written client queries under GST Laws (primarily), Customs and Foreign Trade Policy.
  • Representations / assistance in representations before tax authorities at various levels for assessments, refund applications etc. under IDT laws.
  • Drafting of opinions under IDT Laws.
  • Understand the client's business models in detail and provide tax optimisation solutions / reduction of tax risk proactively.
  • Supervising computation and review of monthly returns under GST Laws.

  • General:
  • Oversees the engagement from start to finish - from scoping, planning, documentation, actual delivery.
  • Works with the team on the delivery of the engagement to ensure compliance to expected standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Trains new members on the job, by working alongside them
  • Ensures that impact summary - matters of risk or impact assessments are duly communicated and documented.
  • Ensures effective communication of legislative changes / impact of judicial pronouncements to the team and the clients.
  • Applies technical knowledge to analyse complex issues.
  • Assists team members resolve technical problems.
  • Identifies methods to improve efficiencies and use of technology and gives the suggestions to the Supervisor.
  • Monitors and strives for reduction of time spent on repetitive tasks by the team.


  • Requirements

  • Must be a Qualified CA.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting software (Tally, QuickBook etc) and basic knowledge
  • of SAP / Oracle.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & Oral).
  • Clarity of thought.
  • Ability to draft replies / responses with a solution oriented approach.
  • Aptitude to pick up new practices and concepts quickly.
  • Proactive, hardworking, participative.
  • Ability to lead / manage a team and be a good team player.
  • Ability to manage the assignments independently or with little supervision.
  • Analytical / probing skills, conceptual thinking, critical thinking.
