    Overview:

    In this role, the Senior Lead Software Engineer performs the embedded Software development activities for multiple projects in the Aircraft Cargo systems by following the DAL-D DO-178C guidelines.

    Position : Senior Lead Engineer - (Software Developer) P3 grade

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Able to do design architecture, develop, review, modify, document, test, implement, install and support software applications and systems.
  • Embedded software design and development using 'C'.
  • End to end software Development activities as per DAL-D DO178B/C guidelines.
  • Assist in the development of proposals for new business
  • Preparation and Review of Software requirement document (SRD) from the System level documents as per DO178B/C guidelines
  • Preparation and Review of Software design documents (SDD) as per DO178B/C guidelines.
  • Implement the embedded systems serial protocols (UART/USB/SPI/i2C/RS-485).
  • Implement the A429 and CAN protocol
  • Perform Stack analysis, Memory analysis and WCET analysis
  • Experience in participating and conducting the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR)
  • Preparation of slides and experience in participating and conducting the SOI Audits
  • Preparation of software certification documents as per DO178B/C guidelines.
  • Technically lead the project and guide/mentors the other members in the team.
  • Knowledge on Boeing D6 standards and Airbus ABD standards.
  • Familiarity with IBM DOORS, Polarion, ClearCase and ClearQuest is an advantage
  • Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods.
  • Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.
  • Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
  • Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
  • Understand the interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components that interact with the currently developed component.
  • Learn and be able to use test equipment (e.g. Logic Analyzer) and software debugging tools to aid in the integration process. Learn techniques and skills required to identify a root cause of a given software integration issue.
  • Manage the software configuration management, Requirement management, defect tracking and peer review process
  • Interact with US POCs for close coordination of the project activities
  • Report to Associate Engineering Manager/Engineering Manager
  • Critical thinker, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Analyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the system
  • Knowledge/Hands on experience in Python, C#, C++ - Optional
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics/Tele Communication and 8+ years of relevant experience is required in Software Development activities using DO-178B/C guideline
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Complete experience in Aerospace domain
