• Maintainsrequired reports and records for every infant in theclass
• Ensures that resources are utilizedeffectively and works towards minimizingwastage
• Play a key role in enhancing the appealof the infant care class with age appropriate displays learningresources and fun and enriching activities
• Iswellversed with the school policies and ensures that the schoolpolicies are adhered to at all times
• Providesonsite assessment of a sick or injured child needs of thecenter.
• Provide first aid treatment in case ofinjuries to any child in the center
• Ensuresthat regular and relevant communication is sent out toparents
• Ensures that the lesson plan isefficiently implemented to keep infants constructively occupiedthroughout the day
• Taking care of the basicneeds of the infants; like feeding food cleaning of infants beforeand after meals supervising diaper changeetc.
• Ensures that observations and assessmentsof infants are carried out regularly
• Ensuresthe safety health hygiene and security of the infants along withthe other children teaching and nonteaching staff of thecenter.
• Monitors the centre for health issuesand cleanliness.
• Interacting with parents todiscuss childs development and other requirements on a need basisIndividual Responsibilities
• Is able to remaincalm in any situation yet solve problems quickly in anemergency.
• Demonstrates professional behaviorwhile interacting with team members as well asparents
• Acting as a guide to colleagues intimes of doubt and helping them take appropriate decisions andactions
• Like any nurse a daycare centers nursemust have patience and compassion to work with infants and youngchildren
• To be involved in other activitiese.g. training staff meetings events andcelebrations
• Serve as a role model to childrenand staff in terms of punctuality respectresponsibility
• Recording ouch/accidents in theouch report. Ensure the Centre Director has initialed the reportbefore the parent receives it AdditionalSkills
• Knowledge of early child developmentmilestones and child related concepts andpractices
• Basic Computer skills including MSOffice suite of MS Word MS Excel to keep studentrecords
• Good Communication &presentation skills both oral and written esp. reportwriting
• Being good in Creative work andStorytellingskills
