Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate/Specialist to join our team in the field of property management. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and timely processing of payments to vendors for services provided to our properties. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating with internal departments and external vendors, and upholding compliance with budgetary guidelines and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Receive, thoroughly review, and accurately process invoices from vendors and suppliers for goods and services rendered to the property management company.
  
• Effectively communicate with vendors, property managers, accounting teams, and procurement staff to ensure seamless invoice processing and payment workflows.
  
• Identify opportunities to optimize accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs through automation, software enhancements, or procedural refinements.
  
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in invoices, payments, or vendor accounts by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  
• Collaborate with the finance team to contribute insights into accounts payable trends and expenses, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
  
• Organize and maintain both electronic and physical records of invoices, receipts, and payment transactions for auditing and reference purposes.
  
• Assist in preparing expense reports and provide support to other departments or employees regarding expense-related inquiries or concerns.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing accounts payable processes. This includes generating reports for management or external auditors to demonstrate compliance and offer insights into financial performance.
  

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  

Requirements
Essential Qualifications 3+ years of progressive accounting experience is preferred. (experience in Property Management/Real estate industry will be helpful but not mandatory). Candidates should ideally showcase experience with the U.S. GAAP (General accounting and taxation).
