    JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - PIPING MATERIALS

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out FEED or Proposal or Detailed Engineering work assuming entire responsibility and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules by maintaining required quality.
    • Review the ITT (Invitation to Tender) documents provided in the proposals. Prepare technical queries (TQs) to the Client. Seek scope clarification, Follow up on the tender bulletins.
    • Preparation of Wall thickness calculation, PMS, VDS, Special item datasheets and other datasheets
    • Prepare Piping material specification, Valve material Specification and TSR for piping components.
    • Supervise the preparation and issue of Inquiry Requisitions to vendors. Participate in technical bid evaluations.
    • Review vendor drawings, documents, and design calculations. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and within budgeted costs. Prepare TQ, TBE and Purchase requisitions.
    • Oversee the set-up of the Material Management system (VPRM / ERM) incorporating the project specifications. Coordinate and incorporate the MTO from the 3D model. Update and maintain the system to incorporate the latest material requirements.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Preferable from a background in working for EPC / Consultancy organizations of the Oil and Gas Industry.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience within the oil & gas industry working for EPCI Consultants / Contractors.
    • Knowledge of relevant international codes & standards like ANSI, ASME, API, MSS, BS, ISO, NACE etc.,
    • Knowledge about the requirements for a Material Management activity of EPC Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical and HSE requirements.
    • Possess supervising skills for conducting basic engineering activities in Piping design & layout, Materials & specifications, Stress & Support in 3D environment, and procurement activities.
    • Having core competencies like the ability to adopt a dynamic, tactful problem-solving approach to tasks and demonstrate coordination, monitoring, supervisory and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of VPRM / ERM, PMS, MTO, Interdisciplinary, and interface management.
    • Knowledge on Material Life Cycle Management and Material Management.
