    Description

    Overview:

    As anOverseas Counselor you will play a pivotal role in providingguidance and support to students aspiring to study abroad. You willbe responsible for assisting and advising students through theentire process of studying overseas from identifying suitableprograms and institutions to navigating visa requirements andcultural adaptation. Your expertise will be paramount in helpingstudents make informed decisions about their educational and careerpursuits on an international scale.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Conductingindividual counseling sessions with students to assess theirinterests academic qualifications and careergoals
    • Providing comprehensive information onoverseas study opportunities including application processesadmission requirements and programoptions
    • Guiding students through the visaapplication procedures and offering support in preparing necessarydocumentation
    • Collaborating with educationalinstitutions and agencies abroad to stay updated on academicprograms and admission criteria
    • Organizing andconducting workshops information sessions and events to promoteoverseas study opportunities and address studentqueries
    • Assessing and addressing studentsconcerns related to cultural differences academic challenges andadapting to new environments
    • Offering supportin securing financial aid scholarships and other funding optionsfor studying abroad
    • Maintaining accuraterecords and documentation of students overseas study plans andprogress
    • Collaborating with other departmentsand offices to ensure a seamless experience for students planningto study overseas
    • Providing continuous supportto alumni and former participants in overseas studyprograms
    • Tracking and evaluating trends inoverseas study and employment to provide tailored advice andguidance to students
    • Participating inprofessional development activities to stay updated on bestpractices and regulations in overseas highereducation
    • Contributing to the development andimplementation of marketing strategies to promote overseas studyopportunities
    • Handling any other duties relatedto overseas counseling and support asrequired

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelors degree inInternational Relations Education Counseling or a relatedfield
    • Previous experience in advising orcounseling students in an academic or internationalsetting
    • Knowledge of international highereducation systems including admissions processes and academicenvironments
    • Strong understanding of visa andimmigration regulations for variouscountries
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to engage with diverse studentpopulations
    • Ability to empathize and provideeffective support to students facing cultural and academictransitions
    • Proficiency in utilizing onlineresearch tools and educational databases to provide tailoredguidance
    • Demonstrated ability to workcollaboratively in a teamorientedenvironment
    • Detailoriented approach tomaintaining accurate student records anddocuments
    • Strong organizational skills tomanage multiple students overseas study planssimultaneously
    • Flexible and adaptable mindsetto address evolving challenges and studentneeds
    • Knowledge of scholarship opportunitiesand funding sources for internationaleducation
    • Experience in event planning andpublic speaking to engage with students andfamilies
    • Fluency in additional languages is anadvantage
    • Commitment to maintaining ethical andprofessional standards in providing counselingservices
