Job Description:

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, your main responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain solutions that support decision-making within the organization. Your key focus will be on extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts, and then presenting that data in accessible formats for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to design and implement data integration solutions, ensuring data is extracted, transformed, and loaded into data warehouses or data marts.
Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models that meet business reporting and analytics requirements, including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
Report Development: Utilize BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView to design visually appealing and intuitive reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights.
SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries to manipulate and analyze data from relational databases, optimizing for performance.
ETL Development: Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like Informatica, SSIS, or Talend, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Data Quality: Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency within the data warehouse.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize BI solution performance, including database tuning and query optimization.
Documentation: Document data integration processes and report specifications for effective knowledge sharing within the team.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and address their reporting and analytics requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Warehouse Developer with knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in SQL programming and database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend.
Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
Certification in BI tools or database technologies.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Knowledge of data visualization best practices and design principles.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
