    Description

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company and clients, preparing financial statements and reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of financial management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare statutory accounts and quarterly reports for a portfolio of clients.
    • Plan and manage processes for maintaining clients' account ledgers through accurate and timely bookkeeping.
    • Maintain reports to ensure compliance with legislation and make requested revisions.
    • Develop, monitor, and maintain progress to ensure consistency of client financial information within our systems.
    • Review client accounts reconciliations.
    • Assist new clients with the onboarding procedure, including reviewing their existing accounting records if available and setting up their books on our in-house accounting software or various other cloud-based accounting software.
    • Liaise with clients from multiple jurisdictions to understand their business models and optimize their accounting workflows.
    • Provide monthly bookkeeping services to clients, including recording all financial transactions based on bank statements, account reconciliations, maintenance of accounts receivables and payables, passing journal entries, and handling accruals and prepayments.
    • Prepare annual accounts on time for companies based in offshore jurisdictions.
    • Liaise with auditors to produce annual audited reports and submit them to relevant authorities on time.
    • File VAT returns and handle other statutory requirements for companies in the UAE.
    • Maintain client relationships, facilitate open communication, and ensure timely delivery of quality services.
    • Advise clients on queries regarding accounts, statutory requirements, VAT, and tax filing obligations relevant to their jurisdictions.
    • Collaborate with Client Accounting Manager and other team associates to promote our services to existing clients and potential external clients.
    • Maintain and expand knowledge regarding UAE VAT & CT Regulations and other jurisdictions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
    • CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred.
    • Experience with accounting software such as Xero or Zoho.
    • Strong understanding of UAE laws and regulations related to financial reporting and tax filings.
    • Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in the UAE would be an advantage.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
