    About the role

    As the Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of the social emotional learning program in partner schools.

    About the Program

    We at Bhumi believe that incorporating social-emotional learning in a child's life will help build character, enable learners to be ethical, rational, compassionate, and caring, and thereby prepare children for future challenges. SEL helps nurture Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making in individuals. These broadly constitute the five SEL competencies. Our program aims to foster these skills in various stakeholders within the education system, providing grade specific deliverable content on SEL competencies for children, working closely with the educators and caregivers through development workshops and providing necessary support.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development and adaptation of SEL curriculum materials, resources, and activities to meet the needs of diverse learners and educational settings.
    • Collaborate with educators and other stakeholders to integrate SEL practices into classroom instruction, school culture, and extracurricular activities.
    • Facilitate SEL workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their understanding and implementation of SEL strategies.
    • Support the collection and analysis of data related to the implementation and effectiveness of SEL programs and interventions.

    Educational Qualification/Experience

    • Educational Degree : Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education or related field.
    • Relevant Experience(in years) : Previous experience in education, counseling, social work or related fields, with a focus on social emotional learning or mental health support (preferred).

    Knowledge & Skill sets required

    • Knowledge of SEL frameworks, theories, and evidence-based practices.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, or group activities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and social emotional support.
