    Position: Academic Program Director for Academic Operations

    Location: Pune Institute of Business Management

    Responsibilities:

    1. Curriculum Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of academic programs in line with industry trends, ensuring they meet accreditation standards and cater to the needs of the students and the industry.
    2. Academic Planning and Oversight: Develop academic schedules, oversee faculty assignments, and ensure the smooth execution of academic activities. Coordinate with faculty members to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
    3. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain processes for quality assurance in academic operations. Monitor the effectiveness of teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and student support services to enhance overall program quality.
    4. Student Support: Collaborate with student services teams to provide comprehensive support services to students, including academic advising, counseling, and career guidance. Ensure a conducive learning environment that fosters student success and well-being.
    5. Faculty Development: Facilitate faculty development programs to enhance teaching effectiveness, promote research activities, and encourage professional growth. Provide mentorship and support to faculty members in their academic and research endeavors.
    6. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, accrediting bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of academic programs with industry needs and standards. Seek feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve program offerings.
    7. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the academic department budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while adhering to financial constraints. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and revenue generation initiatives.
    8. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze academic data to track program performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for program improvement. Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, including academic performance metrics and accreditation requirements.
    9. Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for academic programs. Lead the accreditation process and prepare documentation for accreditation reviews.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Education, etc.); Ph.D. preferred.
    • Previous experience in academic administration, preferably in a similar role within a higher education institution.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of curriculum development, academic planning, and quality assurance processes.
    • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
    • Familiarity with accreditation standards and procedures.
    • Analytical skills for data analysis and decision-making.
    • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
    • Ability to adapt to changing educational trends and technologies.
