- Select appropriate components, such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and connectors, to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
- Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of control panel layouts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to control panel design, electrical safety, and automation technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of design concepts.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and customize control panel designs accordingly.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement without compromising quality.
- Participate in testing and validation of control panel prototypes to ensure they meet functional and performance expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that may arise during testing or production.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and user manuals for the designed control panels.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to explore new technologies, materials, and design methodologies to improve the overall quality and efficiency of control panel manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in control panel design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for creating detailed drawings and models.
- Strong understanding of electrical components, circuits, and wiring practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as UL 508A, NEC, IEC, etc.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
