    Description

    Summary of Position:

    Support the assessment of Alcon products to ensure Alcon can demonstrate compliance to environmental regulations, maintaining design history files in PLM system and requirement traceability in ALM system.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Alcon products for compliance with applicable environmental product regulations by utilizing internal drawings or specifications, external supplier data, and/or direct communications with suppliers
  • Engage with suppliers to facilitate an understanding of regulatory requirements and the information needed to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Generate and maintain Environmental Product Fact Sheets that provide data about the environmental aspects of Alcon's products
  • Input data into Life Cycle Assessment Model and generate initial report
  • Provide environmental related data for tender bid requests
  • Validate site environmental data in HSE DMS for external reports
  • Qualifications

  • BS of Engineering with 3-5 years experience;
  • Data analysis experience
  • Ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, recommend and implement solutions, and deliver quality results on schedule while managing multiple tasks and customers
  • Some knowledge of environmental topics, such as sustainability or environmental regulations
  • Some knowledge of data mining and software applications (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau or similar)
  • Basic English-language technical or business writing skills
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills to build positive departmental and inter-departmental relationships in a virtual, remote and asynchronous environments
  • Technology savviness to automate simple tasks for process improvement and cycle time reduction (e.g., data queries, data analyses, documentation)
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in office/2 days work from home)
  • Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS of Engineering with an environmental focus
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, particularly applying regulations to products
  • Knowledge of medical device sector
  • Intermediate or advanced understanding of environmental sustainability topics
  • Superior data validation, manipulation, and management skills
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Project Management experience
  • Data analysis experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or other data analysis and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations or willingness to learn about such regulations
  • Technical/Scientific Writing in English
  • Superior verbal English communication skills (in a remote environment)
  • Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime or equivalent)
  • Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
