    Overview of Job Function:


    The Team Lead, Software Engineer works in a software development team with members of the development organization, QE and Tier 3 Support and is responsible for the design, development, and the implementation of server-side software systems.

    The team lead works closely with management on departmental issues, with latitude for independent judgment and decision-making within defined guidelines.


    Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
    Supervise teams within the software development functionResponsible for one or more product areas for Verint's Enterprise product suiteDevelop and implement software development plans, processes, and procedures and ensures they are adhered toDesign, implement, and test complex software applicationsLead in team activities – Requirements gathering & analysis, Design/Architecture/Implementation/Testing and the related reviewsCollaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing softwareMay serve in a scrum master role as part of the agile software development processEnsure the team achieves the agreed timelines and milestones, reliability & performance, quality measures and meets the overall acceptance criteria of their responsible product areasEvaluate results with stakeholders to determine if organizational objectives are being metAnalyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cyclePerform root cause analysisAct as a point of contact and escalation for the team/function

    Minimum Requirements:
    BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related degree8+ years of software development experience2+ years of Team Lead experienceStrong Proficiency in Java server-side programmingExperience with designing and building fault-tolerant, highly-available, distributed systemsFamiliarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within software design and developmentExperience in Object Oriented analysis and designStrong troubleshooting & debugging capabilities in an agile software development team environmentDetail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projectsGeneral understanding and proven real-world design experience with server-side fundamentals (multi-processing, multi-threading, inter-process communication, disk I/O, network I/O, memory allocation, .

    Successful completion of Verint's background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verificationPreferred Requirements:
    Advanced degree preferredExperience with CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and telephony systemsExperience with private/public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCPAbility to prioritize and delegate tasks across team boundaries and/or geographically dispersed teamsExcellent organization, time management, and project leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdheres to strict deliverable deadlines while able to multi-task
