    FIRM: Well-established fintech/investment tech firm based in Mumbai.

    LOCATION: Thane.

    WORK MODE: 4 days in office and 1 day working from home.

    About the role: Backend Technical Lead - Node.js

    Responsibilities:

    • People Management:
      • Understands team dynamics and utilizes different strengths of individuals to ensure high team performance. Keeps people happy and fosters a healthy work environment in the face of challenging schedules and high expectations.
    • Project Management:
      • Understands project scope, allocates resources, manages timelines, identifies risks early, and communicates updates regularly to upper management and stakeholders. As delivery manager, owns the entire life cycle management for deliverables assigned to their team.
    • Technical Direction:
      • Designs technological solutions to business problems in a way that satisfies both business and technology objectives of the organization.
      • Responsible for delivering scalable and robust solutions in a timely manner.
      • Collaborates with product owners on the product front and other technology leaders on the tech front.

    Must have skills or competencies:

    • 5-7 years of work experience in development and team management.
    • Strong full-stack experience with a thorough understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
    • Should have an understanding of diverse technologies and the ability to decide on architecture appropriate with business needs.
    • Ability to go debug external npm packages and make changes in them if required.
    • Experience in architecting web-apps with the ability to solve typical scale-related problems.
    • Must be good with Git and Git workflow.
    • Thorough knowledge of AWS, GCC, or Azure.
    • Experience and understanding of the development process including Requirements, Development, QA, and Deployment.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
