    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Support Specialist located in Mohali district. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and help desk support for desktop computers and other information technology systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, hardware, and software.
    • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
    • Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and security.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
    • Monitor system performance and optimize system resources as needed.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement solutions to meet business needs.
    • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in system administration and cybersecurity.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of server and network administration principles and best practices.
    • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) are a plus.
