    JD Safety Steward

    Location Mumbai

    Role FTC 1 Year Contract

    Salary 25k 30K Per Month

    Education Diploma / BE / Equivalent

    Notice - Immediate

    1) Training and Education:

    Conduct safety orientations for new workers and provide ongoing training on safety procedures.

    Educate personnel on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures.

    2) Safety Inspections:

    Perform regular site inspections to identify and rectify safety hazards.

    Ensure that work areas comply with safety regulations and standards.

    3) Incident Investigation:

    Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.

    Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of incidents.

    4) Emergency Response Planning:

    Familiar with emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols of client.

    Conduct drills to ensure that all personnel are familiar with emergency procedures of client.

    5) Communication and Awareness:

    Communicate safety policies, procedures, and expectations to all personnel/workers.

    Foster a culture of safety awareness and encourage reporting of safety concerns.

    6) Enforcement of Safety Protocols:

    Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations by workers and subcontractors.

    Take corrective action when necessary to address non-compliance.

    7) Safety Equipment, Tools and Facilities:

    Ensure the availability, functionality, and proper use of safety equipment, tools and facilities, including PPE, first aid stations, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.

    Electrical safety of tools - Implement and enforce electrical safety measures

    8) Documentation and Reporting:

    Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including work permit, type of work permit, unloading of material permits, training sessions, inspections, and incident reports.

    Taking work permit for everyday work, give toolbox training, safety process, protocol etc.

    Prepare and submit regular safety reports to management.

    9) Coordination with client& PMC:

    Liaise with client to ensure compliance with safety standards.

    Obtain necessary permits and approvals related to safety.

    Mock drill

    10) Continuous Improvement:

    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.

    Implement initiatives to enhance overall safety performance on the site.

    11) Supervision and Leadership:

    Provide leadership in promoting a strong safety culture.

    Supervise and support safety personnel and ensure effective communication within the safety team.

    12) Risk Assessment:

    Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate the level of risk associated with specific activities.

    Work with project managers and teams to develop strategies for mitigating identified risks.
