Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager- Reinsurance Operations (Assumed & Ceded)
Responsibilities:
.Technical Accounting & Processing - Review end-to-end processing of technical statements of account (SoA) for premiums, claims, and risk transactions across all reinsurance businesses
.Contract Setup & Interpretation - Review reinsurance contracts, wordings, and slips to accurately set up treaty and facultative agreements in operational systems
.Financial Booking & Reconciliation - Review financial transactions related to premiums, claims, recoveries, and brokerage in accordance with contract terms and accounting policies
.Reinsurance Calculations - Review complex calculations including reinstatement premiums, profit commissions, sliding scale adjustments, and no-claims bonuses
.Cash & Receivables Management - Provide oversight to unallocated cash and aged receivable clearance, ensuring timely identification, matching, and resolution of outstanding items
.Stakeholder & Broker Engagement - Liaise with brokers, reinsurers, and internal finance/underwriting teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain accurate records
.Reporting & Controls - Support management and regulatory reporting needs, maintain audit trails, and ensure compliance with internal controls and reinsurance governance standards
.Continuous Improvement & Controls - Strengthen process controls, identify automation opportunities, and drive consistency and efficiency across Reinsurance operations
.Governance & Reporting - Lead structured governance through regular reviews, dashboards, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and control
.Problem Solving & Issue Resolution - Provide analytical insight, investigate root causes of accounting discrepancies, and implement sustainable corrective actions
.Stakeholder & Client Management - Act as the primary liaison for clients and internal finance leadership, managing expectations, resolving escalations, and driving continuous partnership
.Team Leadership & Capability Building - Manage and mentor the Reinsurance team, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications:
.Graduate / Postgraduate in any stream
.Relevant years of experience in managing Reinsurance Operations processes
.Proven experience within Re-Insurance domain preferably Assumed business
.Experience in working with SICS system would be added advantage

Preferred Skill Set:
.Thorough knowledge of Insurance / Reinsurance business
.Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
.Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
.Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
.Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
.Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
.Strong time management skills
.Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
