Responsibilities:
1. Legal Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the group's operations.
- Conduct regular reviews of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
2. Real Estate Transactions:
- Oversee legal aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, title searches, and property acquisitions.
- Provide legal guidance on property development, leases, and related matters.
3. NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) Matters:
- Handle legal proceedings related to NCLT, including drafting petitions, attending hearings, and ensuring compliance with NCLT regulations.
4. Due Diligence:
- Conduct due diligence reviews for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with potential business ventures.
5. Company Act Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and other corporate governance requirements.
- Advise on legal matters related to corporate structure, board meetings, and shareholder relations.
6. Labour Laws:
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations.
- Provide legal support on employment contracts, termination issues, and employee relations.
7. Contract Act:
- Review and draft a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties.
8. Indian Acts and Regulations:
- Stay informed about relevant Indian acts, regulations, and legal developments.
- Advise the organization on compliance with specific Indian laws applicable to our industry.
Qualifications:
a. Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's degree is a plus.
b years of experience as a Legal Compliance Officer or similar role.
c. In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, NCLT procedures, Company Act, Labour Laws, Contract Act, and other relevant Indian acts.
d. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
e. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
f. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
