    Description

    SUMMARY:

  • Create and manage a consistent set of objective data points to define third party risk
  • Create a consistent reporting framework to account for and communicate third party administrative, physical, and technical risk
  • Create a repeatable workflow in order to inventory, classify, assess, and track remediation on third party risk.
  • Interface with teammates in order to manage relationships with third parties
  • Create, manage, and track, and drive maturity around third party KPIs and SLAs
  • Create and manage an inventory of third parties and associated risks
  • Respond to information requests from third parties as needed
  • Engage with Auditors to provide evidence of design and operational effectiveness of application security and security operations processes and standards.
  • Monitor and respond to external scans and security reports in order to understand the findings and coordinate remediation.
  • Align process and outcomes to all applicable regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders for business continuity planning.

    • Required SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 1-2 years of experience in Information Security, Information Assurance and/or Cyber Security space. Additional relevant experience and professional certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Deep and broad understanding related to security encompassing end point technologies, applications, application hosting, physical and virtual data center hosting.
  • Experience with security practices such as business continuity and risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of audiences including technologists, executives, business stakeholders and IT team members.
  • Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Accustomed to information security risk assessments processes.
  • Knowledge of information security management frameworks and state laws/regulations such as ISO 27001, IS0 22301, NYDFS, FFIEC, ITIL, COBIT or NIST.
  • High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.

    • Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in applicable field
  • Professional information security certification, such as a ISO 27001, CISA, CRISC
  • Knowledge of common security frameworks and regulations including FFIEC, NYDFS and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Technical writing for senior management
  • Cyber security risk management experience, e.g. conducting assessments, identifying risks, and recommending solutions.
  • Expertise with NIST and ISO 27000 series, particularly NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP , ISO 27001/2.
