Role: Sr Splunk Engineer
Location: Hyderabad (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Permanent with Purview Services)
Requirements
• University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Required - Good communication skill in English.
• Required - Expertise in Splunk and log analysis platform.
• Required – Expertise in SPL. Recent experience in building Splunk dashboard, report, etc.
• Required - Knowledge in network fundamentals
§ (e.g. TCP/IP, LAN, Internet, Routing & Switching)
• Required - Knowledge in network management fundamentals
§ (e.g. MIB/OID, SNMP, Netflow & Syslog)
• Required - Knowledge in Linux and Windows Servers platforms, Databases and queries.
• Required – Knowledge in AWS cloud.
• Required one or more of below–
o Programming skills. One or more of below -
§ (Perl, Python, Shell script, Java)
o knowledge and experience in Automation / API
§ (REST or SOAP).
o knowledge in Automation techniques and technologies
§ (e.g. Expect, Ansible)
o Capable to stitch together terraform, AWS CLI commands and BASH scripting to run on an EC2.
o Experience with AWS CLI including S3, EC2, ASG, ELB, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.
• Preferred Good knowledge on one or more of different - Network Management tools -
o Fault management systems
§ ( like NNMi product)
o Configuration management systems
§ ( like Network Automation product)
o Performance management systems
§ ( like Sevone/Telemetry)
o Cloud related Network management systems.
o Ability to write and develop Terraform modules for different Infrastructure setup, installation and configuration
o DevOps experience with Terraform, GIT, AWS CLI, BASH.
• Preferred – Certificates
o CCNA/ CCNP or similar networking certifications
o Any Programming certification
o Cloud certification ( GCP or AWS )
o ITIL certification
• General skills -
o Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
o Self-motivated, positive and flexible with ability to work independently
o Willing to work in a global team and sometimes non-office hours
