    Role: Supply Chain Manager (Plastic/ Packaging Industry)

    Location: Ghana, West Africa

    Job Description:

    Planning and Strategy:

    Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the organization's overall goals.

    Collaborate with other departments to understand their supply chain needs and incorporate them into the overall strategy.

    Analyse market trends and demands to anticipate potential supply chain issues and opportunities.

    Procurement:

    Source and evaluate potential suppliers.

    Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms.

    Work to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards.

    Ensure that procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.

    Logistics Management:

    Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods.

    Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

    Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and delivery times.

    Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

    Inventory Management:

    Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems.

    Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.

    Minimize excess or obsolete inventory through efficient planning and forecasting.

    Coordinate with other departments to align inventory levels with production and sales forecasts.

    Supplier Relationship Management:

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

    Work collaboratively with suppliers to improve performance and resolve issues.

    Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as on-time delivery and quality.

    Risk Management:

    Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain.

    Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.

    Plan for and respond to unexpected disruptions, such as natural disasters or geopolitical events.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain.

    Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement.

    Stay current with industry best practices and technology trends.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, sales, finance, and production, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives.

    Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to manage expectations and address concerns.

    Compliance and Regulations:

    Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing supply chain activities.

    Ensure that the supply chain processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

    Implement ethical and sustainable practices in the supply chain.

    Leadership and Team Management:
