Job Responsibilities

Development:

• Lead the development and maintenance of complex web applications using PHP frameworks (primarily CodeIgniter and Laravel).
• Independently analyze project requirements, design efficient solutions, and translate them into well-documented, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Implement robust back-end functionalities for web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries using SQL, leveraging advanced techniques for complex data manipulation.
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs, tools, and services seamlessly within web applications.
• Champion the development and implementation of unit and integration tests for comprehensive code coverage.
• Mentor junior developers and provide constructive feedback during code reviews.

Specific Frameworks:

• Demonstrate in-depth expertise in advanced features of CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks to accelerate development.
• Possess a strong understanding of CodeIgniter's MVC architecture and its efficient utilization for project structure.
• Apply Laravel's object-oriented approach confidently, leveraging built-in functionalities and customizing features as needed.
• Effectively utilize CodeIgniter's libraries and helpers or Laravel's artisan commands to streamline development tasks.

Additional Skills:

• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts in PHP and their practical application.
• Mastery of version control systems like Git for efficient code collaboration and management.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective front-end/back-end integration.
• Implement secure coding practices to proactively prevent vulnerabilities in web applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Optional Responsibilities:

• Experience with deployment tools and processes to ensure smooth application launches.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing applications (if relevant).
• Proven track record of writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like PHPUnit or Behat.
• In-depth knowledge of performance optimization techniques to ensure application responsiveness.
