    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Role Title: Manager Sales (North, South, East, West)

    Designation: To be decided at the time of interview

    Department: Sales

    Reports to: General Manager_India

    Location: North, South, East, West

    Key purpose of the Job:

    Candidate from Shipping / Logistics / Container liner / NVOCC business is a must. Responsible for managing and controlling entire sales & commercial activities including coordination with principals, capacity allocation to optimize revenue and closely work with sales team across India.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    · Candidate should be a Graduate/Postgraduate with about 12 – 15 years of experience in overall Container Liner Shipping activities administration covering overall aspects of sales /commercial, operations documentation & functions.

    · Will be responsible for new market development by finding, contacting, capturing and retaining new and existing customers in their region.

    · Must be result oriented, mature, and have a pleasant disposition.

    · Must be able to effectively manage people and external agencies.

    · Job responsibilities include but not limited to Organizing and control commercial activities, business development, co-ordination with principals, capacity allocation to optimize revenue, market share and maximize lifting's, customer support processes, market development - identify, contact, capture and retain new customers in their regions.

    · Responsible to manage all aspects of the Commercial and Sales Teams in the location through the designated reporting heads.

    · Manage Customer Relationship on a regional level and carry out Key Account visits at regular intervals.

    · Delivering Performances - Vessel Voyage - Trade Lane Wise and Allocation Fulfilment

    · Coordinate closely with the Service Owners / Trade Desk in Principal's office overseas to achieve KPIs/deliverables of allocation fulfilment/revenue targets.

    · Monitor Inventory vis-à-vis allocation available and ensure quick turnaround of equipment.

    · Develop monitoring tools for value addition and analyze for increased working.

    · Prepare Reports for new trade lane development and new service studies.

    · Monitoring Service Deliverables - Trouble Shooting

    · Should be able to drive Management vision and enhance the brand value of the organization.

    Desired Profile:

    • 12 – 15 years of experience in container liner/NVOCC shipping / agency business / freight forwarding covering overall aspects of commercial, sales, operations, and documentation.
    • Self-motivated with aspiration to grow with the organization.
    • Possesses humility, maturity, and situational sensitivity.
    • Strong interpersonal skills - effectively managing people and external agencies.
    • High attention to details with strong business acumen
    • Result oriented and focused.

    Education:

    Graduate/Post Graduate degree from a university of repute, preferably in Maritime/Logistics or similar qualifications.
