Description

• Experience with deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Apache Pulsar clusters.
• Proficiency in configuring Pulsar for performance and scalability using Pulsar Perf and other optimization techniques.

• Kafka : Experience working with Kafka, a plus for understanding the nuances of Pulsar compared to a leading competitor.
• Java : Strong understanding of Java programming language as Pulsar is written in Java.
• Microservices : Experience with designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Cloud (Azure) : Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, for deploying and managing Pulsar clusters.
• Confluent : Knowledge of Confluent Platform, a commercial distribution of Apache Kafka, is a plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain Apache Pulsar messaging systems for highthroughput, lowlatency data streaming.
• Possess a strong understanding of messaging concepts like message queues, pub/sub models, and message persistence.
• Deep dive into Pulsar architecture, including topics, subscriptions, producers, consumers, and broker roles.
• Configure Pulsar broker load balancing for optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Set up Pulsar tenants, namespaces, and topics to manage data access and organization.
• Utilize Pulsar REST APIs for programmatic interaction with the messaging system.
• Understand the differences between event streaming and batch streaming methodologies.
• Integrate microbatch APIs within the Pulsar ecosystem for specific use cases.
• Ensure highly available Pulsar deployments using techniques like replication and failover mechanisms.
• Leverage Pulsar Perf to analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize the Pulsar cluster for efficiency.
• Analyze complex technical issues related to Pulsar deployments and troubleshoot them effectively.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Possess a solid understanding of Linux operating systems for managing Pulsar infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, is beneficial for cloudbased deployments.
• Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and implement solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Science is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Apache Pulsar and related technologies can substitute for a formal degree in exceptional cases.
