Position Title: Automation Test Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Reports to: Test Lead

Responsibilities:

· Help support automation/ manual testers with mentoring.

· Help lead the development of the Automation Test Strategy with good understanding of the development life cycle and areas of testing and methods.

· Automation testing capabilities and the ability to create frameworks where there is none

· Familiarity with CypressIO is essential and further experience with other automated frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber / BDD highly regarded.

· Test management tools such as JIRA, Xray

· Ability in working across multiple projects simultaneously and an ability to meet time frames.

· Develop test plans, test cases and automated test scripts using automated test tools.

· Interpret, execute, record and evidencing test cases in accordance with project test plans.

· Analyse and report test activities and results.

· Work closely with the stakeholders to create functional and non-functional test

cases and test data.

· Hands on automation testing and manual testing where required.

· Use industry best practices while creating test cases to ensure reliability and reusability.

· Contributing to the QA practice involving document writing and the regression suite.

· Design and manage effective, reusable and maintainable test automation frameworks and test suites.

· Work with product and engineering teams to plan, develop and execute test cases and suites.

· Work with business analysts, developers, and quality analysts to integrate test scripts (Unit, sanity, system, regression, integration).

Experience Required:

· Prior experience in a similar role is essential.

· Prior experience of team management and mentoring.

· Knowledge of testing software is essential.

· Knowledge in JavaScript is essential.

· Experience with C#, Selenium, Cypress and SQL Server highly regarded.

· Experience in Agile methodology.

· Experience in testing APIs, webservices, and webpages.

· Experience in the energy industry is highly regarded.

· Knowledge of Git, for Source Control, with knowledge of Jira, Confluence and test management tools such as Xray.
