RolePurpose
RequiredSkills:
experience in system administration applicationdevelopment infrastructure development or relatedareas experience withprogramming in languages like JavaScript Python PHP Go Java orRuby in readingunderstanding and writing code in thesame Mastery ofinfrastructure automation technologies (like Terraform Code DeployPuppet Ansible Chef)expertise in container/containerfleetorchestrationtechnologies (like Kubernetes OpenShift AKS EKS Docker Vagrant etcdzookeeper) Cloud andcontainer native Linux administration /build/ managementskills
KeyResponsibilities:Handson design analysis development and troubleshootingof highlydistributed largescale production systems and eventdrivencloudbased servicesPrimarily Linux Administration managing a fleet of Linuxand Windows VMs as part of the applicationsolutions Involved inPull Requests for site reliabilitygoals Advocate IaC(Infrastructure as Code) and Cac (Configuration as Code) practiceswithin Honeywell HCE Ownership of reliability up time system security costoperations capacity andperformanceanalysisMonitor and report on service level objectives for a givenapplications services. Work with the business Technology teams andproduct owners to establish key service levelindicators. Ensuringthe repeatability traceability and transparency of ourinfrastructure automationSupport oncall rotations for operational duties that havenot been addressed withautomation Supporthealthy software development practices including complying with thechosen software development methodology (Agile oralternatives)building standards for code reviews work packagingetc. Create andmaintain monitoring technologies and processes that improve thevisibility to our applications performance and business metrics andkeep operational workloadincheck. Partneringwith security engineers and developing plans and automation toaggressively and safely respond to new risks andvulnerabilities.Develop communicate collaborate and monitor standardprocesses to promote the longterm health and sustainability ofoperational development tasks.
