    Job Description

    The Security Manager will be an integral member of the Global Security team reporting directly to the Security Director. The Security Manager will collaborate extensively with the global security management team and other key stakeholders in the strategy, design, development and implementation of physical security initiatives.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Motivated team player with a sense of urgency and initiative in independently determining and completing critical actions
    • Under both directed and self-initiated actions assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs and procedures necessary to ensure the overall security and safety of employees, customers/clients, contractors, suppliers, or visitors of western digital
    • Identify security vulnerabilities and define objectives in accordance with departmental goals relating to capital projects, supported events and the needs or requests of business units
    • Assist in the establishment of action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements by obtaining and allocating resources, by reviewing progress and by making mid-course corrections as needed
    • Support change management as it pertains to related dynamic security events and needs
    • Collaborate with and develop excellent working relationships with all global security stakeholders to ensure superior operational outcome and security service delivery
    • Drive to improve security operations by providing trending analysis
    • Be skilled in aligning projects, programs, and operations with strategic objectives
    • Invest security resources in the right workflow to deliver the expected value and be able to work with a variety of western digital project teams
    • Oversee the development of security strategies and systems for the protection of facilities, personnel, data, and assets
    • Support change management as it pertains to dynamic security events and needs
    • Use a combination of management skills and specific security system knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of global function strategies and programs and coordinate physical security projects through progressive stages with the goal of project completion within specified time and budget constraints
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in business management or any applicable field.
    • 5 years related work experience and at least 3 years specific and demonstrated security experience or a combination of education and direct experience.
    • Experience in developing business processes and business process mapping
    • Preferred:
    • Preferred security experience includes law enforcement, military, intelligence, public service, or private sector security organizations.
    • Previous experience at least in a supervisory role for handling site security operations
    • Project management certification is a plus.
    • Skills
    • Very strong oral and written communication skills in English
    • Minimum 2-3 years of investigative experience in leading and conducting criminal investigations, investigative interviewing , evidence gathering and case building.
    • Strong verbal presentation skills, and ability to communicate planning strategy and concepts to leadership, stakeholders, and staff
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to track all work and key metrics in a case management database or other tracking systems
    • Ability to process work quickly, accurately, and with changing priorities
