We're hiring a hands-on Manager / Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts to own manufacturing accounting, product costing, inventory control, and statutory compliance for our pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad.

You'll work directly with Production, Stores, Procurement, QA/QC, and Dispatch to ensure financial accuracy at the factory floor level.

This is an execution role with direct ownership of outcomes — not a coordination or review-only position.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Manufacturing Accounting & Cost Control

• Own product costing across all SKUs and dosage forms

• Maintain BOM-linked cost structures reflecting actual material, labour, and overhead inputs

• Track and investigate standard vs. actual cost variances with Production and Procurement

• Provide clear product-level margin visibility to leadership

• Validate financial accuracy of batch and job costing records

Inventory & ERP Discipline

• Own reconciliation of RM, PM, WIP, and FG inventory

• Ensure ERP entries reflect real-time physical movement (GRN, consumption, dispatch, returns)

• Maintain consistent stock valuation methodology

• Drive ERP discipline across departments; resolve discrepancies at source

• Coordinate periodic physical stock verification

Statutory & Tax Compliance

• Independently file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C)

• Perform ITC reconciliation and resolve mismatches proactively

• Manage TDS compliance and statutory filings

• Maintain audit-ready documentation year-round

• Coordinate assessments and notices with consultants when required

MIS & Financial Reporting

• Own monthly financial closure within defined timelines

• Prepare actionable MIS: product-level P&L, margin analysis, inventory aging, working capital

• Track cost variances vs. budget and flag risks early

• Build decision-support reports — not data dumps

Audit & Controls

• Maintain internal controls across procurement-to-payment and inventory flows

• Support statutory and cost audits with clean documentation

• Build and maintain accounting SOPs

• Eliminate repeat audit observations at root cause level

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 8+ years in finance & accounts within a manufacturing organization

• Proven product costing ownership in a BOM-driven environment

• GST filings and ITC reconciliation handled independently

• ERP experience beyond data entry — must have enforced process discipline

• Exposure to statutory or cost audit in manufacturing

Education

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)

• CA Inter preferred

• Qualified CA welcome if comfortable in a hands-on plant role

Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)

• Product costing & BOM-linked cost cards

• Inventory accounting (RM/PM/WIP/FG)

• GST & TDS compliance — independently handled

• Monthly MIS & book closure

• ERP accounting (Tally/SAP/Dynamics or similar)

• Audit coordination & documentation discipline
