    Overview:

    The role ofthe Sous Chef is critical to the success of our kitchen operations.The Sous Chef works closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smoothand efficient running of the kitchen. They are responsible forsupervising the kitchen staff planning and directing foodpreparation and assisting with menu development. The Sous Chef alsoplays a key role in maintaining high standards of food quality andsanitation.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Assist in thepreparation and creation of menuitems
    • Supervise and coordinate kitchenstaff
    • Ensure compliance with food safety andsanitation standards
    • Assist in the developmentof new recipes and menu items
    • Manage inventoryand control food costs
    • Train and mentor kitchenstaff
    • Oversee food production andpresentation
    • Assist with scheduling and labormanagement
    • Collaborate with Head Chef on menuplanning and execution
    • Maintain a clean andorganized kitchen environment
    • Contribute to thedevelopment of seasonal menus
    • Assist withordering and receiving of supplies
    • Monitor andmaintain kitchen equipment
    • Adhere to allcompany policies and procedures
    • Ensure highstandards of food quality andpresentation

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Previous experienceas a Sous Chef or in a similar role
    • Degree orcertification in Culinary Arts or relatedfield
    • Proficient in food preparation andkitchen management
    • Knowledge of diverse cookingtechniques and cuisines
    • Strong leadership andcommunication skills
    • Ability to effectivelymanage a team
    • proven track record of menudevelopment and innovation
    • Ability to work in afastpaced environment
    • Thorough understanding offood safety and sanitation guidelines
    • Excellenttime management and organizationalskills
    • Creative approach to food presentationand plating
    • Ability to multitask and prioritizetasks effectively
