Strong Knowledge and Expertise on Oracle & its sub components : RAC, ASM, Performance tuning, Golden Gate, Data Guard, Shell scripting.

As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle database systems to ensure their availability, security, and performance.

You will work closely with other IT professionals to design, implement, and optimize database solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

• Database Installation and Configuration : Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related components. Ensure proper settings and configurations for optimal performance and security.
• Database Monitoring and Maintenance : Monitor database performance, availability, and resource utilization. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and database optimization to ensure smooth operation.
• Database Security : Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters. Test backup and recovery procedures regularly to validate their effectiveness.
• Performance Tuning : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in database systems through tuning, optimization, and index management. Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to proactively address performance issues.
• Database Design and Development Support : Collaborate with application developers and data architects to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for efficient data access and manipulation.
• Database Upgrades and Migration : Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and data conversions as required. Ensure compatibility and data integrity during the upgrade process.
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Configure and manage high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and Flashback technologies to ensure continuous availability and data protection.
• Capacity Planning : Forecast database growth and plan for additional storage, memory, and processing resources as needed. Monitor and manage database storage to optimize usage and prevent outofspace issues.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate regular reports on database performance, health, and security compliance.
• Troubleshooting and Support : Investigate and resolve databaserelated issues reported by users or detected through monitoring tools. Provide technical support and guidance to application developers and endusers as needed.
• Compliance and Best Practices : Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for database administration, security, and data management.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Previous experience as an Oracle DBA or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Oracle database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring and management tools.
• Familiarity with database security principles and best practices.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred Qualifications (not required but beneficial):
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloudbased database platforms.
• Knowledge of other database technologies such as MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and scripting tasks.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for automated deployment and configuration management.
