Job summary
The Assistant Manager – Procurement & SCM will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to service contractors.
Responsibilities
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Source, evaluate and onboard service contractors (maintenance logistics manpower AMC utilities etc.)
- Float enquiries conduct techno-commercial evaluations negotiations and finalize service contracts Ensure cost competitiveness quality standards and timely service delivery Develop maintain a reliable contractor/vendor database Contract Compliance Management Prepare review manage service contracts work orders rate agreements Ensure adherence to contractual terms SLAs statutory safety company compliance requirements Coordinate with legal HR safety teams for contractor compliance documentation Supply Chain Coordination Plan track services in coordination with production maintenance projects admin teams Ensure timely issuance purchase orders completion certificates Monitor contractor performance timelines resolve operational issues Cost Control Process Improvement Track spend budgeting supporting initiatives Identify opportunities process improvements vendor consolidation Support audits maintaining proper procurement contract documentation Documentation Reporting Maintain records comparative statements contracts invoices MIS reports Track PO status renewals vendor metrics
